Reduced volume per serving
Packaging is clean and reduces waste
Has a positive sleep inducement about an hour after ingesting, heavy yawning
Clean waking state in the morning, no drowsiness suffered

Review:
Pure Sleep helps you fall asleep and stay asleep while also helping you get a more restful and restorative sleep. It accomplishes this through natural supplementation based on what appears to be a combination of multiple eastern approaches in a western supplementation form.
I’ve noticed a general feeling of well being when waking in the morning and also find I roll around less at night. Trips to the bathroom seem to be reduced as is a focus of the formula. There is also a very calm relaxed state going into the solid sleep inducement with heavy yawning about an hour after ingestion. It also appears to help aid muscle recovery when taken regularly. I often wake in the middle of the night and the product does not completely alleviate the issue but does help. It does require uniform use in my opinion. Taking this once in a while does have a benefit but really should be used as a long term sleep and recovery aid.
As a note I have never experienced any heartburn issues with this product. It also tastes great.
Deep Dive:
Clif High is an interesting fellow to say the least. Clif runs halfpasthuman.com and covers a wide range of topics in the woowoo world (a term he has coined) and has been doing so for many years. Beginning with the Alta reports and now to more recent Youtube and Bitchute videos on current world events. Clif has a good understanding of both micro and macro views. I highly recommend him as a source of information or a starting point for research.
Clif has said he based Pure Sleep on Ayurvedic and Eastern medicine practices to create a natural sleep aid. He has designed it to not only help with normal biological sleep assistance but to also assist against outside influences we don’t always think about. Particularly those from the macro scale such as light pollution, solar energies, emf radiation etc. His personal drive for creating the product was during his research in developing regiments to aid against cancer. He was successful in that endeavor.
The product formula is designed to help you fall asleep, stay asleep and get a restful restorative sleep. The ingredients listed all appear to be selected towards that end. Particularly those that help us stay in delta (non-REM) sleep. Delta or deep sleep is the only time the body does deep restorative functions like repairing DNA.
The second generation formula is a wonderful refinement. Reduction in serving size, as well as more readily attainable ingredients that should alleviate product availability, are just some of the upgrades. I appreciate the depth that went into ingredient choice and the interactions between ingredients are both well thought out and appropriate.
The mixture is proprietary but the label includes the following ingredient information:
Gamma Aminobutyric Acid, Organic Cane Sugar, Magnesium Bis-Glycinate, Magnesium Citrate, Sunflower Lecithin, Natural Strawberry Flavor, Mogroside-V (from Monk Fruit Extract), Ellagic Acid (from Pomegranate Extract), Tricalcium Phosphate, Myristicin (from Nutmeg Oil Extract), Betanin (from Red Beet Root Extract).
Magnesium:
Essential mineral, protects metabolic health, mood stabilizer, can help with insomnia, increases GABA, involved in over 300 different enzyme related reactions
Has a key role in ATP activation
Regulates essential mineral transport such as calcium and potassium
Regulates blood pressure, cholesterol production and blood glucose levels
A part of bone development and protection
Acts as an electrolyte
Helps control stress response and hormones that elevate and diminish stress
GABA Gamma Amino Butyric Acid:
Neurotransmitter, anti-anxiety, helps with NREM
Helps manage anxiety providing a feeling of calm and relaxation
Stabilizes blood pressure and can help lower blood pressure for those with hypertension
Can help with inflammation
Increases NREM and has an effect on its duration
Magnesium (as Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Citrate)
Essential mineral, protects metabolic health, mood stabilizer, can help with insomnia, increases GABA, involved in over 300 different enzyme related reactions. Required by every cell in the body.
Has a key role in ATP activation
Regulates essential mineral transport such as calcium and potassium
Regulates blood pressure, cholesterol production and blood glucose levels
A part of bone development and protection
Helps control stress response and hormones that elevate and diminish stress
Magnesium Bis-Glycinate (Chelated [Bonded] Magnesium and Glycine, aids absorption)
Glycine: Amino acid, neurotransmitter
Can help to fall asleep quicker and improve sleep quality
Increase sleep efficiency
Reduce insomnia
Aids multiple functions of the body:
Protein builder via collagen production
Digestive aid
Helps with DNA and RNA production
Regulates blood sugar levels and helps move blood sugar to cells and tissue to be consumed for energy
Aids inflammation response
Stimulates and Inhibits cells as a neurotransmitter, particularly in the production of serotonin a key mood stabilizer
Magnesium Citrate (Magnesium bonded with Citric Acid)
Helps regulate digestion
Can prevent muscle spasticity and spasms
Restless leg syndrome
Cardiovascular aid
Citric Acid Cycle (Krebs Cycle)
Plays a role in balancing GABA and Glutamate, using vitamin B6 Pyridoxine as a cofactor
Vitamin C is used in a lot of other functions of the body, many of which are played out while we sleep
Sunflower Lecithin
Emulsifier: stabilizes mixtures to prevent separation.
Aids in the absorption of fat soluble vitamins, minerals and supplements. (see note on directions of use)
Contains some vitamins and minerals such as; Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Iron, Choline and Inositol
May help with the following:
Reduce Cholesterol
Improve Digestion
Support Skin health
Boost brain function
Mogroside-V (Monk Fruit Extract)
Anti-inflammatory, Antioxidant
Monk Fruit is known as Luo Han Guo in TCM and has many uses including, anti-inflammatory properties of its mogrosides (sugar substitute), as well as their effect of non glycemic insulin production
Natural sweetener (250x sucralose) with little to no glycemic index effect
Triterpenoid (think natural steroid) - antioxidant and other effects
7-Oxo-mogroside V
11-Oxo-mogroside V
Mogroside-V has been studied for it’s anti-tumor properties including those related to pancreatic and lung cancer
Ellagic Acid (polyphenol extract from pomegranates)
Has shown anticholinergic (acetylcholine blocker) properties.
Specifically the signaling of the parasympathetic nervous system involving involuntary muscles, which may:
Prevent Nocturia, by reducing the signaling of a full bladder
Relax lung tissue to help regulate breathing
Have an effect on saliva and tear production
Antioxidant
Free radical scavenger
Anti-inflammatory
May help with decreasing the function of prostaglandin E2 and interleukin 6, both are inflammation markers
Some data to support the following:
Anti-viral properties
Topical anti-inflammatory and wrinkle prevention
Slowing of fat cell formation and growth
Anti-cancer (see note)
Note: Interestingly the FDA has warned numerous companies for false anti-disease claims and considers it to be a “fake cancer cure.” Despite studies showing evidence to the contrary.
Tricalcium Phosphate (calcium bonded to phosphorus)
Calcium
Is used in converting Tryptophan to Melatonin. Important for:
Inducing a state of sleepiness
Aiding in keeping you asleep
Helping regulate sleep cycles
Phosphorus
Essential for cell health; membranes, signaling, ATP
